Spring is just around the corner! Bringing its usual burst of vibrant colors that can be seen in the flowers, the beautiful sunny sky and of course, spring fashion! It is the perfect combination of sunny days and playful colors. I am currently in love with the "sea foam green" fever that is sweeping the nation as well as the soft nude and peach tones that seem to be every where! The laughter and voices of the people running around in the park near my house make me want to scream "Oh spring you need to finish getting here already!!!"

Winter will always be my favorite season since I get to eat my favorite meal more often (homemade chicken soup) during it but spring is definitely my second favorite. It is that time of the year where the weather is cold enough to want someone to hold on to and cuddle with but warm enough to wear a nice blazer and a cozy knit skirt with tights.

It may only last a couple of days in New York but the thought of the flowers coming back and the promise of decent temperatures are enough to make ANYONE excited and that's exactly what it does! The flowers blossom and the suns rays shoot across the sky lifting the "doom and gloom" mood often left behind by the harsh winter cold.

Before you know it, the parks are full to the top with people and picnic baskets. Something I find kind of funny is the fact that I used to think "picnics" were some kind of myth or something you only see in movies until I moved to this country. I live near a really big park now so I get to see people having a nice picnic ALL the time. I've actually had a couple myself with my mother and my sister, my best friend and sometimes my date is a good book.

Don't get me wrong, a city like New York is always crawling with people from all over the world and the ever so excited tourists. Taking pictures of pretty much everything they see, looking up at the tall buildings and pointing out every single spot on times square that they have seen in a big Hollywood film, at least that's what I used to do :) So, are you breaking out a nice pair of boots, some colorful clothes and giving into the magic and beauty that is spring this year?
